Clearwater Pool Service has successfully managed all aspects of pool repair for the Faculty Club, from troubleshooting and repairing leaks, retiling and paint, pool deck replacement, to whole system circulation and sanitation review and consultation. They make helpful and cost conscious suggestions, adjust quickly to unforeseen challenges, and meet, if not exceed, budget and construction timelines. This is the first year Southern Village Club has managed its own pool without the assistance of a pool management company. Our desire for setting and meeting high standards for pool safety, cleanliness, policies and staff training put us on the search for someone who could lead us in establishing the best practices for our pool. Stefan Nickodem was the perfect fit for our Club’s needs.
During the months leading up to our pool opening, Stefan’s expertise was invaluable. He was a “quick study” of our pool system; researched those things that were unique to our pool; and made recommendations, calibrations and repairs necessary to pass inspection. He also upgraded our baby pool filtration, rebuilt our pool vacuum to improve safety & efficiency, and trained our CPO’s. His knowledge of our CAT Controller and the intricacies of our pool and pump room has enabled him diagnose and solve problems often with just a phone call.
Stefan has made himself available and accessible throughout the summer, and we will continue to rely on him as our “resident expert.” Always, Stefan completes his work in a timely, cost-efficient manner with safety as his highest priority. Stefan,
I want you to know what a pleasure it was working with your company, Clearwater Service, and Pool Surfaces on the plaster replacement at our aquatics center. We are still receiving compliments from our patrons on how nice the new plaster looks and what a difference it has made in our facility.
I have worked with many contractors during my years on all types of projects including pools. From the pre-construction meeting to the completion of project, Clearwater Service was very professional in following the scope of work and offering recommendations during the construction to enhance our facility. I was impressed with the milling machine (specialty equipment used for the first time in North Carolina at this facility) that removed the plaster from the bottom of pool and prepared for new plaster.
Your company completed the project on time and the only evidence that your company was there after finishing was a newly plastered pool! You were always on the job, and did not mind stopping what you were doing to answer any question. I appreciate you checking with us after the completion of the project to make sure we had no problems or concerns that needed addressing.

I have had a highly successful coaching career and pool service in Raleigh prior to my moving. I don’t throw around compliments to just anyone. I can truly see you are a genius when it comes to what you do with pools. I could learn a tremendous amount from you. At my advanced age I was almost thinking I knew it all but after seeing what you do I can tell I met the master.
Stefan, thanks so much. I want you to know I very much respect your every opinion and word. I have known a few knowledgeable pool people over the years but in the very short time of watching what you can do and the small chances we have had to communicate I think I can safely say I would put you there at the very top of the list. If I ask your opinion on something that concerns the club I will relay every bit of information to the best of my ability to the appropriate sources….
